WeVux was born in 2011 in Milan with a simple goal: share good design with a focus on sustainability, give visibility to emerging talent and students, and connect a curious community. It was always a free platform, shaped by more than twenty collaborators and a broad curiosity across design, architecture, interiors, graphics, illustration, and mobility.
Over time, WeVux became a curated, research-driven publication guided by a clear principle: design matters. For us, excellence means balance, composition, and integrity. We explored the anatomy and lifespan of projects, their material choices, and environmental impact. Our team of academics and designers vetted every story, avoided greenwashing, and highlighted solutions that advance the circular economy. We supported sustainable designers with resources and insights, and we amplified innovative materials for the design community through initiatives like the Materials Design Map.
Today, with sadness, we have decided to close wevux.com. This difficult decision reflects both the natural conclusion of an independent project built with care and the reality of economic constraints.
Thank you for reading, for sending your work, for sharing our stories, and for believing that form, function, and sustainability belong together. A warm, heartfelt thank you to all our collaborators and to every reader who made WeVux possible from 2011 to today.
With gratitude,
The WeVux team
